This right here. It was a camaro or z06. I liked the look of the camaro (and wife wanted one) so camaro won out

To Mod or Not to Mod, that is the question... LOL. Each person has their own reasons for what they do. In 2008 I bought a rare Foose Stallion new and I gave the dealer a full laundry list of items I wanted done before I ever took possession of the car. People said I was crazy for doing that to a rare car and it would kill the value. Maybe... Yes, I have an ungodly amount invested overall in this car now... literally $100K. But... it is exactly what I wanted, it was built to my specs, warrantied by Ford with the mods, and there is no other one like it... and I made it my daily driver from 08 until 2015. Am I satisfied? Yes. Could I have bought an all out GT500, super snake, or Shelby Cobra, yes but would not have something unique.

Fast forward to 2015, garaged Foose at this point, bought an LS Camaro for a new daily driver swearing I would not sink money into it and do the mod thing again. LOL... yeah right. Once in the blood, its there. I was in the same boat, keep an LS and mod with some resemblance of fuel economy or trade up. Mod, mod, mod... Decide on what fits your personality, your budget, and what you plan on doing with the car short and long term then don't let anyone beat you up for it. Its your decision.

i admire those that put many man hours and money into their cars...i love to read about their passions.
but it's nothing for me..i just enjoy driving my cars rather than messing about with them.
for me i have way more important things to do with my time and money.

There is nothing wrong with that. You clearly are entitled to think and feel however you want about it. Where I disagree is putting others down that don't share your same outlook on owning a Camaro. I try to let others do, say and feel as they wish, as long as they are not trying to bring me down.

When I bought my SS I had a few options to look at due to the timing (November 2013). The 2014 had just come out and there a few SS' on the lot right next to the remaining 2013 SS' and there was a 2013 ZL1 on the show room floor. Additionally, I had enough to buy any of them & the wife said get the one I wanted. After checking them all out, I went with the 2013 2SS/RS; overall, I liked it a lot better then any of the others and knew I could add more power/HP down the road if I wanted too... so no regrets.

When i first supercharged my SS, I had major regrets... the E-force kit on the 3.875" pulley was basically an LS3 with basic bolt ons. (434rwhp / 420's rwtq), super depressed to be honest. but then as i came on here more and read through the threads more and realized the differences, i didn't really have much regret after i started upgrading other things.

i sacrificed a lot of key strong-parts though, so it still gets at me, but in the end I have an SS and no one expects them to be very fast, where as the ZL1 everyone kinda knows it's supposed to be fast, so catches a lot of people off guard.

Well, it is and it isn't. everyone has an opinion these days on what everyone else should do with their own money without even knowing their financial position... it then turns into a pissing match between what they have in cash/credit/resources compared to some random stranger on the internet.

not very many people are rich, i'm definitely not rich. I'd say i do well for myself, but I don't have $50k tied up in stocks that's for sure... I also don't own my house outright, i pay a mortgage and i enjoy the interest as a taxable write off... normal guy.

I also recognize i could have done a lot more with the money i dumped into my camaro, yet at the same time, i like to enjoy things. That's how i measure it, my wife & kids don't suffer because of it, and we're financially stable at least. It's fine to be tight and smart with money, but if you're not enjoying any of it, what's the point, right?

I got my particular SS because at the time, it was heavily discounted.
I really wanted to get Summit White I saw in stock but was not willing $1,000 below sticker.

I hear you guys. Before Nov 8th I started investing heavily into more guns and more ammo, speculating supply would dwindle. Turns out I could've waited and gotten even better deals. Buts who's to know
