Bought my first Camaro back on Nov. 29th, and it's a 1LE! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So, I'm not supposed to drive it or tell too many people because it's my golden birthday present for January 31st. Not that I'll be able to drive it much come February here in Iowa. I have owned a few nice cars, (1987 Corvette Z52, 2009 Civic Si, 1999 MX-5 Sport set up for the track, 2008 CTS AWD) but had to sell all those over the years for life reasons. This is my first Camaro, and I am very happy with my decision. I need to confess, I was choosing between used 1LEs, and new Mustangs with the performance pack, and had a Mustang deal almost closed for $27,495, but as I called to put a down payment on the car, my salesman was in a meeting, and another salesman sold the car. I was working deals on 2 other Stangs that were each 5 hours away, when this used 1LE popped up on cars.com. The salesman didn't really want to work a deal over the phone, but I convinced him, and the car was only 1.5 hours away in Madison, WI. So on the 29th of November I picked up my car, a 2014 2SS/RS 1LE with sunroof, and dual mode exhaust in summit white! I got it for $27,250 before taxes, and it only had about 27,450 miles. I think I got a pretty good deal, considering it still has bumper to bumper factory coverage!

Anyway, I just joined this forum yesterday, and I'm so pumped on my car. Also looking forward to learning from the Camaro community.

I gave up on 2 seat coups, because I need to be able to cruise with my Wife and 3 year old Daughter. My Daughter rode home from the dealership with me in it and was so excited to be in "the loud car."

My grandson likes riding in PopPops' red car. He likes it when I take off hard, puts a perma grin on his face and mine.

It's amazing how good this car really is right out of the box, and I was willing to travel pretty far to get the right car, just glad I didn't have to. I plan on keeping this car pretty stock. The previous leaser of this car pulled the exhaust switch, and I put it back. Too loud on the highway, but loved the sound in town, so I'm getting the mild to wild switch. I also put the factory pcv set up back on for street driving. It currently has BFGoodrich all season tires on it, I don't know what tires I want next.

Check your cabin air filter, mine was filthy!
