Ok, so my mods are completed and the dyno is done, and we're at 587 RWHP and 516 RWTQ! I guess this is as close to 600 RWHP I'm gonna get, and by the feel of it, it's more than enough power for the road course...at least for now
![]() I was at 492 RWHP after the I added the headers, cat removal, and a tune. So now with the new cam, heads, intake, throttle body mods, I gained another 95 RWHP. The new problem will be traction, as the Trofeos were no match for this new found power, and break loose at will! Can't wait to get it to the Raceway! Time to step up the driving skills to match this beast! Last edited by Robbie1227; 12-10-2016 at 01:49 AM. |

Nice! Sounds great. Congrats!
My tuner had told me to expect about 150 rwhp with complete LS7 stage-3 set-up over bone stock. With your previous header gains, that's right in the ballpark.

Wow, that cam sounds fantastic ! Sounds Just like my built 70 Chevelle SS396 ! I want my Z/28 to sound like that so bad ! but, living in California and based on my previous experiences with smog tests, I am hesitating.....
I am amazed at the amount of power still on the table with a LS7 stock motor. That is something special. Congrats ! what a perfect sounding Z/28. With that lope, now, you really have the combination of old and new muscle in that car. No comparison to the tame idle sound of blown cars. With all that new power, that Z/28 is gonna scream at the track !!

Thanks!
Hollywdv The catch can was from a local machine shop and the install was totally custom. Not sure if the brand, it's an in-house install as Lashway has worked on hundreds of LS7's The tail lights are from big worm graphix |

Thanks Guys!
Sadly it rained here in S Florida, so my track day didn't happen, ugh... I did take it out today to stretch its legs once the rain stopped and it's nothing less than ridiculous! The tires break at will, the acceleration smooth and constant, the sound is verging on over the top, lol 100 MPH comes quickly and easily! I'm gonna schedule another track day for next Sunday, hopefully I have better luck and get to really feel what I did to this monster! BTW. this car was unique and noticeable before, but now it literally draws a crowd |

Car is sweet man. Sounds great!!! I'm wondering if you're looking for a few more ponies towards 600rwhp if you change out the stock air intake? I know the stock one is good but I'd be willing to bet there are others that would pick you up some power.

The air intake on the Z/28 is pretty solid, there isn't anything to be gained there.

The slight HP advantage was always to the aftermarket system. However, I would not swap out the stock system for an aftermarket one to net 5 hp.
