There you go. If they don't get enough interest on this after Hurst jumped in and answered your questions. You have no one to blame but your selves. But I would guess the price would have a lot to do w/your choice.

I was being facetious in my previous post, but ZYBORG is 100% correct. For manual it is not cosmetic, the design serves a purpose.

If you have never driven a standard vehicle for a prolong amount of time, then you won't understand. When driving a manual, it is essential you have an ergonomically correct shifter to meet your hand grip. Especially, if you often race and always have your hand on the shifter.

You manual people need to start your own thread. Please, please push the clutch in and downshift your way to another corner of the interweb.

1 down, 49 to go.

Who's in for a Hurst Auto Comp Stick?

Why do you say "shouldn't"? Are you the final authority for all things shifter? A person can get any shifter for any reason he desires. At least in a Camaro he can. Maybe not in your mustang though?

Only those guys here that have driven an old 4 speed with a clutch that takes the hulk to push.....with no traction control and small tires can truly say anything about the feel and performance of a manual car. Today's cars are easier to drive now more then ever before....less talent and time is needed. Oh and lets not forget those cars that had almost zero clutch engagement left and you on a hill with traffic behind you. Today's sweetheart manuals work way to easy.

They list 2 part numbers that equal the 1 part . This kit has been discontinued. Individual options still available here (part # 5380430) & here (part # 5380431).

When I clicked each part number it took me to what you guys were looking for .

I would also love if they paddle shifters came back for another run. I had poor luck with the fit of a competing product and would love to get my hands on the Hurst kit. I know the paddles themselves are still available, but not much I can do without the rest of the mounting kit.

I would even be happy if there was a simple plastic replacement for the current tap-shift buttons for the 2010, just extended paddles, but there is really nothing out there like that.

I bought just the shifter without the plate. Imo I thought it looked a little much when paired up. I think I paid $179 American for mine....no way would I pay more then that. I think the price was at one time over $500 for both.

Problem with that is, the individual parts are NEVER available either.

I have been checking weekly, and have never seen them come in.
