How wide of tires

Hey guys I just picked up some lexani r3 19 inch by 8.5 and woundering how wide of a tire I can run I would like to run some 275s right now I have the stock 2lt 19s with the stock 245s

Wheels: lexani r-3 bg finish 19x8.5
Performance: cold air inductions intake, mrt v1, jacfab ported intake manifold, intake manifold spacer, overkill tuned on E85.

The right thing to do is to not vary any or much from what's recommended. Google 'rim width for tire size' or something.

265 is suggested as max.

But going to a 275 I don't think will hurt. I know lots of people with 315's on the stock ss 9" rim. I have had no problems with my 305's on stock 9"ss rim.

I wouldn't ever recommend that combination or run it unless stuck in a situation where there flat-out wasn't a better choice available.

Max-acceptable 265/xx's are going to feel a bit soft-responding and less precise, and 275's would be worse still. Even 255/xx wouldn't feel any better than what you've got now (245/45 on 8" wide rims?). A case of the looks promising more but delivering less in anything remotely resembling normal street driving . . . not exactly a win-win
