I'm new to all this. How does polishing the valve covers add HP? Is it just lost hp that is recovered, or something else?

Ahhh...

I was trying to figure it out and couldn't. I'm more familiar with firearms and there are some factory parts that you can polish/buff and it smooths out the gun. Thought it might be along those lines.

My poor TA is getting abused. At 17psi on the stock, cam only 5.7L and hitting 680rwhp. Trying for 700+ on my dyno. Thing made 380rwhp cam only.

Its running lean....again. An issue I've been chasing for 2 years...and most likely the cause of my recent motor going BANG...But all should be straightened out for good this spring.

Well that sucks - nothing worse than a lean condition.
