I was sitting at a stop light with my Z/28 going to make a left turn. A challenger scat pack sees me coming down the other street and hits it on the turn. His rear end misses my drivers door by inches, he is frantically turning the wheel, then over corrects, goes sliding the other way, then he over corrects again with his nose heading right for the curb. he hits the brakes and his nose touches the curb with a little crack. He backs up, then, peels out taking off... What a tool.

I was driving a yellow pre-production Camaro one evening and pulled into a grocery store parking lot. now remember, this is before any Camaros were on the road save for GM Captive Test Fleets -- people had only seen Bumblebee and the Concept --

A young father pulls in next to me in a suburban with a 7 year old in the back seat. The seven year old was bouncing all over the place yelling "BUMBLEBEE!!!!!" ----

So I got out and said to the young boy "would YOU like to SIT in Bumblebee???" The kid nearly fainted.....but from the front seat I heard "I dont' know about him, but daddy does!!........."

The kid was simply beside himself that he got to sit in bumblebee!! His enthusiasm was contagious -- as a small crowd gathered.......

I was driving down a long stretch of road and passed an intersection (Red Bluff & Bay Area Blvd.)... where a pretty GT500 Shelby was trying to enter.

The wife was talking about 'I don't know what' and all I could do was stare in my rear view to see if the snake was coming... sure enough, he turned and was coming up on us REALLY hot!

I turned to the wife and asked her if she was ready... she had that blank look (like, "Didn't you hear a thing I said?" kind of stare.) I had a huge grin as I lowered her window as the GT500 Shelby blasted by us doing warp speed... ROFL!!!

The shear blast of exhaust noise, wind gust, and surprise made her yelp like I never heard before!

That was a good day. I got to scare the shit out of her without really doing anything and I got away with not listening to her because she completely forgot everything she was saying.

Hahaha. I did something similar to my wife the other day. Only I found her in traffic while we were talking on the phone. She had no idea I was behind her. As we pulled onto the highway I opened my exhaust dumps and blasted past her. Never heard her scream that loud. And my exhaust was loud enough to hear through the speaker phone

Sent from my campfire using smoke signals.

That wouldn't go so well with my wife... as far as she knows, I drive like a 70 year old student driving instructor, that volunteers as a Wal-Mart greeter on the weekends and daily drives a Chrysler New Yorker.

Tons of stories lol

One of the funniest was I was next to a Harley. I had my top down and my son about 5 at the time is chatting away I look over and the girl on the back of the bike was talking to him. They were having a good time.

How about I pull into the convenience store and a guy hanging around outside the door asks me if I could give him a ride home. It didn't seem right so I said I wasn't going that way.

I looked over my shoulder and an LEO is on the main drag, stopped in line at a signal.

I get to the checkout with my milk and bread and I glance out the window and that LEO is parked behind my Camaro. I walk out the door and the cop is right there and asks if that man asked me for a ride. I say yes, he says, "thank you, that's all I need" and moves his car out of my way.

It took me a minute to realize how much danger I may have encountered.
Put a whole new light on my perspective of the police.

Just messing... glad you love your car.
I miss the days when I liked my cars that much.

I was driving my Z28 the other day and this middle age guy in a beat up S10 said
DDDDDAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! as I drove by. He was bouncing in his seat
and hitting the kid in the seat next to him. It was great. I could not hear him,
but I knew darn well what he was saying.
Are you kidding me!? You Drive a Z/28 with the LS7 and you're not like a kid in the candy shop when you walk out to the garage in the morning? Must be a rough life...

Going thru the McDonald's drive thru last week, the woman who handed me my food said, "Have a great day!"

I responded, "Thanks, and you too!"

She then takes a long look at my Camaro and says, "Wow, that's a beautiful car!"

I smiled and said, "I agree, thanks!" and drove off.

It's almost 8 years old and it still turns heads! Mine included!!

I went through the McD a few months ago and the guy handing the food out the window said, "Look at you! Like you are 17 again!"

I thought of Morgan Freeman in the Bucket List and drove home with a perma-grin on my face!

When I first bought our Camaro we tripped from Chicago to Brooklyn, NY. We stopped for lunch one day and had nearly the same experience even though it wasn't BB. Dad was taking pictures while I sat his boy in the front seat and he pretended to drive.
A good time was had by all.

I was driving down the street and passed a twenty year old with his girlfriend. The guy looks at my car and yells, "tight". I turned to my two teenage sons and ask if that's good. They just burst out laughing at me.

Yesterday a Honda Prelude tried to run me on the freeway. He kept doing the acceleration rock (gassing it and letting it slow down till I was dead even with him... repeat).

Needless to say, La Porte PD don't play that shit. He was pulled over after doing this for 2 minutes straight beside me. I guess he was more worried I was going to bite and gun it, rather than look in his rearview mirror at the popo a few cars behind.
