What day are you headed to CTC.

will be CTC oct. 6-11. Maybe we will meet up.

very crowded at the mall.

this is a great spot for pictures. i took these myself, waited about 45mins for the right light, and its a great background. its in ocean springs.

these pics helped me get into a classic truck calender, and some mags.

let me know if y'all like this background. the last pic is looking back towards where the pics were taken. its a very beautiful area, and its just off the beaten path

That background looks great!! Off the beaten path is even better for pictures. We shouldn't have issues with cars passing by and it should give us quite a bit of time to coordinate things. That spot has my vote

OK, can we need to find a volunteer to scope out the area and give us an alternative. Suggestions?

The last few years I found the D'Iberville area super easy to access. I think it would be a great spot to meet up and we could caravan to the Ocean Springs area that Black10 took the truck pictures. I'm local to the area, so any place decided is alright by me.

I know I'm from Alabama, but my wife and I are headed over for the week. I'm hoping to have my new car before October first and am planning on taking it to Biloxi. We lived in Biloxi for 3 years and had a blast at every cruisin the coast. Let me know if you guys meet up and we will try to be there.

We are trying to nail down the location for the picture, so as soon as it is finalized, hopefully this week, I'll post it!

Thanks Marc, that sounds great!!! Let me know if Saturday at 11 am sounds good to you, or earlier if you think. If you can check with your buddy to make sure we will not be in the way of any competitions in the mall area, that would be very helpful!!! And the use of your camera would be great!

there is a lot on beach blvd. at courthouse rd. red light. There is a fishing pier and plenty of area for a nice photo on the beach side.

mods for ctc

Click for 2009 Registration Form

All registered vehicles must carry automobile liability coverage with minimum limits. The Undersigned acknowledges and understands that no insurance is available for coverage to the Undersigned unless otherwise provided by private insurance obtained by the Undersigned. Registration packets must be picked up by the registrant and the registered vehicle must be present at registration. No overnight parking at cruise sites is allowed.

Major Modification Examples For 1981 and Newer Vehicles

In order to register for "Cruisin' The Coast", each of these vehicles must have a minimum of five (5) of the following modifications and be approved by the selection committee.

Wheels: Changed to an aftermarket (non-factory) wheel

Paint: Changed to a distinctly different style and/or color combination from that which was available from the factory.

Body: Some examples are high-rise hood, ground effects, rear spoilers that were not available from the factory, modified grill, frenched headlights and tail lights, shaved, decked, chopped, channeled, suicide doors, ‘Lambo’ doors and any other radical body work seen.

Engine: Most owners will gladly give a list of modifications that have been done to an engine. Notable changes are a modern V-8 or V-6 in a much older car. You will see changes like carb, intake, air cleaner, aluminum radiator and so on. You can hear a distinct difference in sound – usually due to a larger cam, or Pete Jackson timing set. Having additional chrome or billet aluminum under the hood counts too.

Exhaust system: A change to a non-factory system – such as headers, aluminized or stainless pipes and performance mufflers (Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, Dynomax, or others).

Drive Train: Different transmission, changed differential (9 inch Ford in a Chevy), four-link rear suspension, traction masters, lightweight drive shaft.

Suspension: Noticeably lowered or raised – air bags, cut springs, reversed leaf springs, added springs, raised body.

Interior: Usually begins with different seats, different upholstery materials, modified patterns on the seats and/or door panels, custom instruments in the dash, custom dash, modern electronics. Basically a noticeable difference from stock.

NOTE: Each of these categories count as ONE modification.

Pictures that clearly show each modification will be submitted with the registration form.
