How to confirm from VIN if Camaro has limited slip differential
Can you tell from the VIN if the vehicle is equipped with a limited slip differential?
My dealership added the limited slip differential additive when I had the differential fluid changed, but as far as I know my 2013 2LT RS with Automatic transmission does not have a limited slip differential according to the new car paperwork, and all other research I have done. Is there a way to verify limited slip differential from the VIN? I know there are ways to tell from jacking up the car, rotating the wheels, or doing burnouts, but I prefer to just verify without using those methods. Any of you know? Thanks in advance!! |

I have not heard of any stock V-6 automatic coming with a LSD from the factory.

Sucks you paid for it, but at least the additive won't do any harm.

Not off of your VIN. Go to the trunk and look at the decal under the mat drivers side and if it has G80 in the list it has a LSD

I don't think you could ever find that out just from the VIN alone. Got to look for the RPO sticker in the trunk like he ^^^^ said.

The RPO code for my 3.45 is GM3.
I have no idea what the other ratios use for a code.

If it is an A6, it is non LSD ... None of the A6 v6 cars were built with LSD, and having a 45th Edition has nothing to do with it. The special editions are only cosmetic.
