Finally the Camaro is out from winter storage...a lot of parts are waiting to be installed and I'm debating if I should install my Vmax Throtle body at the same time with my Z/28 intake or do it a week appart so I can evaluate the vmax on its own...opinions?

I installed the Z28 CAI on my L99. No problems. Sounds great. I'm happy

The z28 intake does not produce sizable throttle response changes - benefits will be felt most, if at all, at higher RPMs.

So, do them both! I recommend unplugging the battery before first startup to force the computer to learn the new parameters faster

Good cue, thanks.

So finally got around installing the intake and Vmax TB. I unplugged the battery and took about 20 minutes to do.

Took it for a spin, seems to pull a little harder but everytime I'm coming to a stop and putting it in neutral its Idles to 1200rpm for 2 or 3 seconds before dropping to the usual 550rpm.

I guess its the new Maf calibrating itseft. I will run it for a while before doing anything.
Has anyone experience this too?

If it continues, I recommend putting the car back to stock and making sure it runs correctly. Then, install the parts one at a time, ensuring the car runs right each time. Tedious, but scientific

your rpm blip when you come down to idle is because of the TB. normal behavior for your first few drives as it learns it's new throttle blade positions for idle. the only way to get rid of it is to drive it.

Thanks for the answer and it didn't take long to set itseft, 30miles and it runs perfectly.

don't know but there are literally dozens of people on this site that run it and have had zero issues to date. mine is going on two years and nothing bad has happened.

15,000 miles on the Z/28 intake no problems here! GM is just covering their ass, since it's sold as a performance upgrade, that's why it voids warranty.
