Went through some of the .17 HMR groups, 10-meter air rifle targets at 50 yards. Usually my shot groups with the A17 are about twice as big, but every once in a while everything comes together. Vortex 4-12x44, DIY foam-padded rest.

Looking to consistently put 4 out of 5 inside the 5-ring before moving out to 100 yards and starting over.

Thanks - in my case I think it's the steep part of the practice curve. So far, I'm mostly seeing less 'scatter' in the group sizes every time out, though a lot of that is because I'm really new to this.

Yeah isn't that the truth. Just saw $39 AR lowers!

Several of the components dealers are selling primers and powder at VERY good prices right now.

I stocked up big time. Glad I did as now I'm set for several years and can concentrate on the SS.

NO problem sending out the kit should You wish to try it. What Agency do You work for?

Florida Highway Patrol. I'll be an Auxiliary Trooper as soon as Tallahassee stops pushing back our graduation date.

If you see a hyper blue metallic 16 SS go easy on me. Just trying to enjoy the car not trying to harm any one! haha

Hope graduation comes soon!

From Outdoorhub.....

Quote:
The HK433 rifle is a self described hybrid of the G36 and HK416. The New HK433 mates the gas system of the G36 with a traditional AR style lower so it should feel familiar. The addition of the gas system also eliminates the need for a buffer tube. This allows for a folding, or if desired a fixed, stock. There also seems to be some sort of keymod rail up front which should satisfy military mounting needs.

It is interesting. So it is a G36 upper married to a ar-15 lower to replace the HK416. I am sure it costs $3,800 or more though.

For the money I think I would stay with my POF 308. Although the POF 300 winchester mag semi auto is a new beast!

Yeah, good luck getting one in the next decade or for a similar price to comparable guns because HK hates civilians.

My P30S disagrees with you.

So does my VP40. Just happen to be wearing an HK t-shirt today. Management here loves it, lol. At least my boss does. He has a P30

While no price has been released yet, one article I read said it will be priced lower than the HK416 which runs around $2k.
