Exhaust pipes (round vs square)

Gents, I have used the search function to no avail. Can anyone tell me what the square/rectangle exhaust pipes (tailpipe section) means? I mean, does it mean its an auto, maybe its an RS etc...or maybe it simply is the style the customer had wanted.

Thanks in advance
B

edit....to not start another thread, what amount of KMs would scare you guys off. I have my eye on a 2011 that present well...it has 67,000kms on it. 6speed.

The square tips are for the cars that ordered the GM body kit...it has a square opening. Majority of camaros have round. If you click on my link below my sig there are some pics of the square ones on my car

The square parts to me are exhaust frames, the round tailpipe is within.

There are rectangle exhaust tips available aftermarket to fit the GFX opening. Stock they came with round tips.

So ~41,600 miles. ~7,000/year.
That's not bad at all.
You should easily get 100,000+ miles (160,000 kms) with proper maintenance.
