What about these ground effects? Yeah he said, I thought it was diffferent. It's now mine, at$30,000 with only 8000 miles. I absolutely love this car. Just picked up yesterday.
I drive 30,000 miles a year in my work. I did look into tires before I bought it. Are there any options other than $2000 a set? I intend to drive it long distances weekly. One thought I have is to put 20" SS wheels on it and preserve the originals, unless anyone has another idea that is less costly.
hey welcome to the club. i just purchase the pirelli tires in a 295/35/21 for $260 each on tirerack. my local tire guy ordered them for that plus shipping. for the rear. you can increase the size on the front for about the same. 255/40/21. they are Audi tires rated at 107y instead of the 103y. check into the bigger size you will save more $$$$. and you have a wider selection of brands also. good luck.

But will they fit without rubbing on anything? That is my question.

they fit perfectly. they are only an inch wider not taller. even if they were an inch taller that equals 1/4 inch on all 4 sides. i have only done the rear so far. i have not put the fronts on yet. however when you compare tire sizes on the zl1 they are wider and there is no problem.
this is the site i used for my info. make sure you select 21" wheel size. the 255/40/21 is $307 its a 1/4 inch taller and half inch wider and $300 cheaper.

Hazards of driving a nice car. Have had almost a week and while at a Tire and Wheel store. Some lady pulled up beside me, let her door go and as you have already guessed put an extra crease in my driver door. I see it happen and while confronting and showing her this. Her daughter opened the back door into it. I did not display the most Christian attitude at this point. I am getting her insurance information when, you'll never believe it, but. Another woman pulls up un other side but I see plenty far away. Let's her door go and and it clips my passenger side mirror. Within 20 minutes my car is hit on both sides by inconsiderate people in Port Arthur Texas. I'm not saying all I could. But "Build the Wall"

Well most Camaro owners (myself included) would park as far away from any contact with other people that have no regard for a nice car. That said, hope you have their information so you can have their insurance cover the dent doctor repairs. Not being an as- about it is that most people look for close parking and have no clue about parking next to a person that may dent my car. Again I would if I used my car to go shopping park away from people who don't care.

Mine is not a daily driver but a garage dweller and part time trailer queen. Does not get out much to go to parking lots to shop.

My wife even parks her 2012 Impala away from the up front parking. Thank you very much for that dear! No dings no dents.

My Wife and I both park way out in parking lots. Limited parking and I actually picked as far away as possible here, with nice rides on both sides. Wasn't there5 minutes until both left. Probably why mine got hit. Both these dregs were irritated because they had to walk so far. It is getting repaired, but what an irritation. Had car less than a week.

Sorry to hear that. Some people don't think the same as car people. We try to take care of our rides best we can and seems like it's a futial fight. Hope you get the repairs done so as it is back to its original state.

Green Flash Pics

Been in storage all winter. Can not wait to get it out again. Added SS badging, GM floor mats, GM plate cover. Only 900 miles so far.

Has anyone updated their exhaust? Any thoughts here for Flowmaster 817609 quad tip exhaust? I think I can add without any issues because valence will allow dual tips.

Auto or manual, mine has the factory Duel Mode exhaust so I'm sure on the Flowmaster. Mine also in the garage till March if the weather is good. If you have rear facia with the single outlet opening should be able to open it up for the duel opening.
Good luck

I went with Solo XL cat back with J pipes after hearing it on a friends SS. What I like about it is that it's not obnoxiously loud until you put your foot in it, then it wakes up and sounds like a beast. It's authoritative at part throttle and at cruise speeds it's very mild with no drone making it easy to have conversations. After 12K miles I still recommend Solo.

The tips on the Solo XL system are slightly larger and were rubbing and rattling in the exhaust bezel opening. I eventually marked where the exhaust bezels needed clearance, pulled the bezels out, and made some cuts to open them up. I did this using a Dremel tool with cutoff wheels.

If you want to go from single tip to dual tip exhaust, you'll find that the bezels are very expensive and may not look right if you cut them. jcsws6 did an NPP conversion and may be able to lend advice (see post #380 in this thread).
