I agree. There were two carry over parts and it was the emblems he mentioned. The new car is smaller in every dimension and the suspension is completely different. But you can swap anything if you really want...better have good fabrication skills.

The only carryover parts are the '14-'15 bowties

Almost nothing. The car is brand new from the ground up. The bow tie on the rear deck was just about the only part that carried over from 2015.

Two different platforms! Suspensions are completely different, motors are different.

Buy parts that were designed for YOUR Car!

I think the hood latch carries over. Not sure that is cosmetic or performance.

Will the engine cover for the 6th gen ss fit a 5th gen ss motor? I should say will the coil covers fit the 5th gen. Not the plenum cover.

It's too bad none of the suspension parts can be swapped over. The front and rear suspension look very similar in design. Perhaps with modification they can? With the 6th gen parts now being made of aluminum, they would be a fair amount lighter than the steel parts on the 5th gen.

If that won't work no matter what, how about an aftermarket vendor tool up some 5th gen suspension parts made in aluminum alloy to reduce weight.

Yep, I've been on the lookout for a set on C6 especially since my stock Pirelli's will need replacement soon.

I think it's disingenuous to say 'buy parts for your car' when I can swap 1LE, ZL1, and Z28 parts onto my 2010. Hell, the shocks and swaybars on a 2012 aren't even the same, so should I just stick with the 2010/2011 versions, or upgrade? (that's a rhetorical question).
