My 1LE V2.0
Haven't been around here much lately...figure it was time to post something.
After running the 1LE on track for the last 3 years I took a look at what it would take financially to compete with my friends on track (in race prepped Corvettes, Panoz track car.....ect.) and decide to pull the plug on the 1LE as a dedicated track car. I'm keeping it, but want to drive it on the street more. Dropped the car off at Rodgers Chevrolet and had them do a few things to "freshen" it up.... Install Hex Vents Install ZL1 Lower Rockers Install ZL1 Rear Valance Paint and install ZTA spoiler Install Michilen Pilot Sport All season on 2017 OEM 1LE wheels Used 285/35/20 square so I can keep a spare in the car and run it front or rear (same OD)) New Clutch (not really needed...but slave was leaking) Trans refresh I already sold and shipped the AP 9668 Brakes to another member and received a set of C7, Z06 non-CCB calipers with ZL1 rotors to go back on it. Picked up a 2011 Corvette Grand sport for track days...Rollbar is being powder coated now, AP Brakes, Tow hooks, harnesses, brake ducts.....are all ready to be installed when I have time. 3300lbs vs 3900 is very noticeable.

Nice upgrade for your dedicated track car Matt!
The AP Brakes fit on my car great too BTW! Thanks for a great deal. Seemed like the deal worked out perfect for both of us! A few pics of the AP brakes on my 1LE!

Nice 'vette.
Maybe it would have been cheaper to swap out your friends for some slower ones? Just a thought... |

I need to do that. My friends are Viper, 2016 Zo6, and 350R. I feel my Z28 will do just fine.

Are you documenting your Vette build? Where can we follow along?
I've been thinking about getting a C5 Z06. |

Very nice. I was about to buy a ZTA spoiler until I found a used anvil.
How much did the 1LE rims run you if you don't mind me asking?

The 3300lbs is the Grand Sport stock weight...3900lbs is my 1SS 1LE, no sunroof + rollbar. Quote:
Gerry at Rodgers made me an offer on the wheels....2 of them had tiny nicks in them on the lip from transport and they cant deliver a car with touch up on it. I paid 1/2 price for two and them a deal on the other 2....basically purchased 3 and got one free. The only issues is the OEM wheels are on back order and I had to wait a week for one and 3 for the other.

Your car is sweet. I wondered what those new 1le wheels would look, like on a 5th gen. Were the offsets the same as the 5th gen? What about the center hub?

Added some additional pictures...
Here is another of my "toys" 87 Buick Grand National with 22K original miles...99% unmolested. I plan to sell this one spring/summer. (I think! )
