Have GM points and supplier discount BUT couldn't use both at dealership. But was told he would work out an extra discount since we can't use supplier so it will end up under sticker. Also, we do have a written agreement on price and hope they don't make us pay extra for the rear sensors we didn't order or know about.

Yeah...but how much did it cost you to get it back to South Texas? I'm sure a big chunk of that savings was gone in transporting it home as apposed to getting it at MSRP locally.

Not bitchin....I'm acutally asking. I thought about them but it doesn't make sense when they want like $900 to get home from their dealership.

Yea thats what it cost for me to have the car shipped. Around 900, which I thought was cool because I can't get a deal around these parts anyways. They had the exact car I wanted at a great price, of course the price is better if you live closer but I didn't feel like waiting.

I had priced myself out of a 2Ss that I had on order and decided to jump at the car. Who knows how long they will offer the rebate so I feel like I got a good deal.

My car would have cost me 46k at my local dealer b/c of their insane markups...In laredo they are selling them at over 50K so not many people have them here unless they go somewhere else. I almost bought a car from a dealer a 3 hour drive away but they wouldn't honor rebates or gms...

I'd rather buy from a dealer that will honor the supplier pricing and rebates and have my car shipped then pay over sticker...or even at MSRP.

Paid 2K over. Walked on the lot and bought it that day (in May '09, did not order car). Wanted black but took IBM and glad I did.

I qualified for the supplier price by being a recent college grad. That saved me about 1k plus the 500 rebate.

VERY few dealers are doing this, trust me I've looked everywhere locally...Local dealer is still asking for 10k over...

Geez, I guess the people that paid over just don't want to admit it, because I have not seen many posts for over.

I have NEVER before paid over MSRP for a car, but I wanted this one so bad I just went ahead and did it and I do not regret it.

I'm not a very good wheeler dealer, but first dealership I went to wanted 10K over.

When I walked in they said we're not going over MSRP, like other dealers, and 5 minutes later a guy comes in and tells me 10K over. No thank you!

Thankfully I did not do it because that place closed a few months later. They had a big place with multiple different lots and bang, just closed one day.

Anyway, I paid 2K over MSRP waaaaay back when I first ordered in October 2008. It would have been nice to get MSRP, but I wanted this car bad.

There have to be a lot more people out there that paid over. They just don't want to admit it. Dealers know this is a money maker and I can't see too many of them letting these cars go without a mark up.

Most in my area are at least 5K over, so I actually feel like I got a deal!
