Front suspension, tools needed?

Can anyone tell me what size the nuts are on the front struts? I'm guessing around 24MM. Picture included for reference.
Also, please add any other tools that will be helpful or needed for front end suspension work. Thanks!

Sorry for the ginormous picture!!! Not idea how to fix it on a MAC.

Switched to my iPad and used Tapatalk. Much easier for posting pic's.

Most everything is 19 or 21 on the front. Those should be 21.

A couple easy ways:

1) Open with Preview, Select Tools -> Adjust Size. In the 'Fit Into' drop down menu (Custom), select either 640 x 480, or 800 x 600.

Click 'OK', then 'File' -> 'Save' (or Quit Preview and click 'Save').

To Rotate the image: 'Tools' -> 'Rotate Right' or 'Rotate Left'

To Crop: Select the area you want to keep by dragging your mouse (Click & Hold) over it, then Tools -> Crop

2) Use a free web hosting service which will have an option to re-size the image. Again, select 640 x 480, or 800 x 600.

Copy the Url for 'Forums / Message Boards' and paste it in your post.

BTW, if you didn't remove the Wheel Speed Sensor cable from the tab on the strut, you should reinstall it, or be sure to reinstall it when your done.

24MM for the bolts that hold the strut to the spindle. Just verified it.

I have the sizes you mention, just not one this big. Had to make a run to the tool store and they easily got $100 from me, lol.

15/16th or 24mm. I just removed mine to install coil overs and used 15/16th.

I didn't even think there were any SAE sizes on cars anymore. Good to know, thanks.

Front suspension, tools needed?

Started removing things today.
Got both side strut to knuckle bolts loose (those were TIGHT). Glad I bought that breaker bar! When I got these loose the strut moved around quite a bit. Did I mess up by not marking anything before loosening these?

Removed the strut to sway bar links. On both upper sides I had to hold the center of the bolt that sticks out with vice grips(see pic, circled). That sucked!

Comparing those with the new ones there's a huge difference (see pic).

Still waiting for my struts to get back from the painter and will be removing the sway bar tomorrow. That should be fun.

Yes your camber will have to be reset by an alignment shop.

You used a vice grip on a hex ended bolt?

Yes. I knew I was throwing it out plus I don't have hex sockets or wrenches. For whatever reason the top ones were a PITA all the way out to the end. The bottom ones came right off.
