Only reason Gen5 Camaro beat Mustang is they stopped making Camaro after 2002 and demand built back up when 2010 Camaro came out.

People don't like the 6th gen. 5th gen nailed it beautiful cars that captured the retro look perfectly. 6th gen looks like a European sports car.

I was very disappointed when they stopped production on the Camaro after 2002. When they came back in 2010 I feel like I wanted one even more than I would have had they never left. There might have been a gen between from 2003-2009 had the kept production going that might have peaked people's interest enough that not as many people would have upgraded in 2010 if they had an 08-09. Same goes today as there are people reluctant to upgrade to a gen 6 from their gen 5.

So yeah, I believe the 7 years off built some hype to the gen 5 not that it needed any more since it was one of the best looking Camaros ever.

Couldn't agree with you more. I still believe the 5th gen looks better then the 6th. Although the front of the 6th gen looks very aggressive, I can't believe they got rid of the HALOS. And the back looks absolutely horrendous, the lights are ugly, the badge is oddly placed. The only great thing is performance but other than that, it looks like a European sports car ^ Not a muscle car.

6th gen is a better car. You get what you pay for.

I'm not a fan of the 6th gen either. I do like them better in person though than in photos.

Perfectly stated. I'll add too much for V6 & up 6th Gen. Whynot go Corvette?

I would not upgrade to a 6th Gen for the simple reason that my 5th Gen only has 10,000 miles on it and it's more cost effective for me to continue modding my current car, than to end up with 30K additional debt...Although the 6th Gen does have a new motor and some other enticing performance enhancements it just doesn't scream "Buy me"...

Wouldn't even consider letting my Gen5 go for any Gen6.
