magnetic ride control

When I switch from tour mode to sport mode the suspension seems to bounce up and down quicky for 5 to 10 seconds then smooths out and feels like tour mode .

Then I switch back to tour and dont feel any difference.

Checked shocks for leaks and all is dry. has 42k miles

I dont have another zl1 to compare it to, Is this normal?

Since the day I bought this car BRAND NEW I had trouble telling the difference between tour and sport. Although the difference is there it is VERY subtle and you have to really be paying attention to notice the difference.

If you switch from tour to sport while driving say around 30 mph road that has a few bumps, does it bounce like crazy for a few seconds before smoothing out?

I can repeat this everytime I switch from tour to sport, feels like the car has no shocks at all and feels every little bump on the road for a 5 seconds.

When I change suspension modes it will get very bumpy for a couple of seconds before it "settles" into the new mode. I'd say ~2 seconds tops though.

I can't tell much difference between tour/sport, but track mode is noticeable.

Yeah it is bumpy for a few seconds then evens out, but I definitely would NOT say it feels like no shocks at all... That would be a crazy bumpy ride.

That's normal, you are adjusting the tension on the shock from softer to stiffer, you won't feel it going the other way. Like noted it only last a few seconds.

I don't feel a bumpiness, but I can feel the stiffer suspension and the car feels more sturdy on the roadway...

Tour mode you will feel the car sort of roll a little in corners, plus the steering is very light and the suspension is a tad bit loose. Put it in Sport mode and the steering wheel stiffens up a bit, there's more bite than roll on the cornering, and it can be a tad bit bouncy when you are cruising on a road where the gaps between sections of road are slightly off from one-to-the-other.
