Hey guys i need y'alls help. i currently own a 2010 camaro with the retro radio. i want to switch it to my link. I really don't use the navigation on any vehicle i usually use my phone so i don't mind if it doesn't have it. Here's the question, if i buy the faceplate for the mylink and install it on my car without the unit (only using the existing unit) will it be easy as plug and play? The only thing i would like to work properly is the bluetooth, (both wirelessly stream music from my iphone and to accept calls), steering wheel control to work and satélite radio. Would i be able to plug the faceplate to my existing unit and be able to have those functions? If not what do i need? i really don't want to spend a fortune on the mylink harnesses and programming and all that stuff. thanks guys in advance.

Get either a Kenwood or Pioneer aftermarket radio that is 7". The kit comes with adapters/wires for you to finish installation without hassle (plug/play). It's a much cheaper alternative for you than upgrading to MyLink. I only wished that the kit came out earlier :( I'd wasted a lot of money upgrading to MyLink myself. |
