Replacement Grille Options for 2014-2015 Camaros
Not sure that this is the right sub forum to post in - but its my best guess. I've got a dilemma and I need some advice from people that have made some upgrade to the exteriors of their 2014-2015s. I badly want to replace my front upper and lower grill. I think they look bad - and to be honest I think the bowtie black out looks bad too (personal opinion). I have always like the look of the heritage grill and the TREX billet grills that don't cover the headlights.
Here is the issue. I've spent the last few days reading the forum and searching around and I don't know that there are any real options out there for me on my 2015. GMpartsdirect shows heritage grills for 2010-2013 only. I read a lengthy post on here about the TREX grills chewing up your bumper and leaving huge gouges in the paint. Has anyone installed the TREX grill with the 3m clear bra or weather strips as protection - if so how has it held up? Has anyone found a vendor that sells heritage grills for the 2014-2015s? I think River City sells custom painted ones - but Im just looking for gloss black to give my SIM a more aggressive looking front end. Id prefer the heritage grill if anyone knows of one, so I can put a yellow/gold SS right in the middle. |

Did you see the Z28 Grill for the 2014/15?
There are two flavors of that style for 14/15: 1. With the Flowtie and Z28 logo 2. Without Can get the grill surround/perimeter in color match to car color or black (the grill mesh is always black).

Ive actually not seen that as an option before so thanks for the heads up ron123. I'll look to see if you can order that from GM.
Still wondering about the heritage and TREX billet grills so any info on those is still much appreciated. |

There are lot of threads on custom grills.
For OEM option you can order them as Z28 part or for SS - different part numbers. Many color options and different part number for each color. However, if patient, can sometimes find them on ebay for half or one-third the price. The 2014/15 folks with RS package have an extra chrome strip that runs along the top bumper cover that can be removed. And also the RS chrome around headlight can be blacked out/painted or removed and 2 little slots filled in. Here is a thread showing some options for 2014/15 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=367680 Ron

I saw some mesh grills on car I'd that looked nice for the ss, I wished that they made something to fit the v6, but they don't.

I like this t-rex grille just a bolt on but changed the whole appearance they also have one that dont cover the headlights for those who don't what them cover, i think there is one for sale on the form for a great deal.

I like the last pic, but no on covering the headlights. To me if you are going to change oout the grille the lower grille should be changed too.

It does not change night driving at all your lights are still coming right thru and you can see the halo just like its not there really but like like i said they have them that stop on each side of the headlight if thats what you like and they bolt right on to your excising grille man really easy 30 mins tops great mod maybe one of the best i have done that don't involve HP lol

pretty cool,my car is BVM with silver vinyl stripes.im thinking the stripes would have to go but it would look striking against the dark blue color.
