Last thing I read on crutchfield was something about having to bypass the OE amp but it was mentioned with the replacement of the factory speakers in the BA system. I remember when I replaced the head unit and speakers in my H3 there was a setting in my new radio that was for the pass through and I had to set it so the sound came out better.

Also I found that you can cut the bottom much more and it will not effect anything. Cutting a hole in the bottom part allows you to place tons more of stuff down there.

I also put stuff to the left and the right and the main harness on the top.

It's def tight though.

I lost my dremel tool so I was using a razor blade, and that was pretty tough lol. Didn't think to cut out the bottom piece to fit more stuff. I'll give that a try, thanks!

I'll also be ordering a FARK kit to install my amp. I'll let you know if that fixes our low volume issue (it probably will)

Edit: For the sound being low issue

The PAC module has 2 connectors on one side that are of the same size, did you use the left one? i did the same and had the same issue, connected it to the one on the right and its fine now.

Page 5 SWC Connection diagram, look at the two ports that are the same in the picture, use the one on the right (That solved my issue).

Hmmmm that makes me wonder..cause one side said "factory amped" and the other said "non amped".

I plugged mine into the factory amped one because I have a BA system

What was the issue you were having before you swapped it over to the other socket?

The volume was way too low like you stated in your OP. I had to crank it up to the highest before it would sound decent, so i removed it, tried the other port, and the sound was as expected afterwards.

Hmmmmm I'm so tempted now to take it all apart and try the other port.

Weird thought cause I mean it's labeled for amped and non amped.

Looks like from looking back on My pictures that the "left" port is for the amped systems and the right for the non..

thats weird... I wonder though if this is cause you might have the non amped version in your car...

but thats weird that it would be the same issue and solved by using the other port... I'm so tempted to take it all apart and try it .. haha

but I just ordered the FARK kit and I'm going to add an aftermarket amp and some new door speakers and rear speakers... but i won't life I'm very temped to open it all up and swap it over the the "right" port for the "left" one to see if that Fixes this Low Volume issue....

This is a picture of the ports..

mine is still plugged into the same place that you see in the picture.. so your saying yours is plugged into the "right" one ?

Yes, i originally plugged it into the same port that you show in your picture. And yes, took it out, swapped the connection to the other one (right), and sound is fine now. Is there an easy way to check which audio system I have??
