MY Little Audio Project - Thanks DJAtomix and Klove

Well I finally got her done over the weekend,
A few of my own touches and customizations and a lot of help and guidance from DJ Atomix, Klove along with others an the wiring diagram..... I say thanks - I couldn't have done it without you guys

A few nights of measuring to get the boxes right.....
A few nights to figure out the wiring and mounting......
2 blown fuses......a little more rewireing and Nickback, Seether Linkin Park and Breaking Ben never sounded so good.....

I went with a 2 channel 1000watt Kenwood.....2 12" KTX because I heard stories you might blow your first set.... I think I have the settings right on the amp so it doesn't sound to bad...and I don't think it will blow.

I ended up hooking into my front speaker set....just like the overall sound quality it adds plus with the amp - it comes on with the radio signal and off when I turn the car off so no need to sepeerate swith it.

I found some orange felt....some plex with paint and decals and I have my look I am going for.....for the trunk space lost I think I will now need to put my rear seat down to transport the golf clubs so I wanted the speakers to look just as nice from the back side as the rear.

I purchased a lot of my stuff on ebay and found really good deals.....I actually purchsed teh wrong epecinter for what monkeying around I wanted to do so I am sending that back...plus it needed to be connected pre amp and I just didn't want to mess with that after all the reading I did.....
So with that I give you pics or this thread would have been useless .
Enjoy...did I mention I really like the sound it gives out........got it rocks...out today and guy pulled up next to me and said that rreally sonds good I don't hear any rattles and the sound is crisp......just said "thanks" - "the car is well put together and a little 1000watt add on" with a big smile.....felt good to do the work myself.....

Owe yea the pics

Wow, I bet that sounds great. I'd love to hear some of the songs I'm always playing in my Camaro on that system! Great job

Very nice setup man! I love it! I really like the fact you went with pure orange boxes. Thats super bold and unique! Everyone always seems to go with grey carpet useally, that is nice to see for a change.

Awesome stuff

Thanks DJ - I wanted to do something different - I found a closer matching felt over the weekend to the interior. I already had them in so I will more than likely redo the boxes over the winter when I put the girl up here in 6 weeks. I am just enjoying them for now

Loud! Bright! Love it! Nice job! I'm in the process of figuring out my audio setup now. Thinking about Focal Components and 2 8w3 JL Audio Subs...unsure of which amps I want pushing them though.

thanks - go big or stay home right
wish I could have but some JL's or Priemer's in - Eventually I would like to have some JL's in those boxes...budget just couldn't handle it right now - plus I wanted to ge the feel for what it would sound like. Can only go up from here.
Figure my son will be ready for subs in his car in 9 years then daddy can upgrade.

make sure you post pics when you get her all done.....

I understand that. JL isn't cheap, nor are the Focal components. My GF is getting me the JL subs and an amp for my BDay and Christimas which definitely helps out. Pics will definitely be up when I get it all done.

oh me likes. You are very bold for going that route. I thought you were only going to do one solo sub with a high wat amp. DAMN, I want to do something but I just don't want to lose any trunk space. I really want to hear that.

The more I dreamed the more I wanted to pair it up

We'll have to plan a hook up to actually met face to face - so you can hear it maybe give me some pointers on adjustments
Coaching football started for me so my nights are a little more busy but let me know if and when you might want to hook up for a few.

You did an amazing job on those boxes, love the detail on them. Really inspiring me to take some time and design my own box. Glad to hear it all turned out well. Looks great.
