IMO, when you buy the RS package, it's just for the HID's and halos.

So yeah, it's worth it

I can't see $1,200 for headlights. Don't like the darker wheels....roof moldings and tails I don't really have an opinion on.............

the $1,200 could would be much better spent towards a CAI, Catback and tune.

check out post #97 you can see the difference in the look of the RS vs Non-RS headlights.

I originally ordered non-RS but after looking at pictures during the day and then at night lite up i really started to like em.
So i got the RS package and think it will be worth every cent!!!

Good luck deciding. Hope this helps!!!

I always say GO BIG!! OR GO HOME!!

The cool factor of the halos cannot be ignored and is a nice update to this very modern interpretation of the 69 Camaro we call the 2010 Camaro

I don't have a new Camaro, nor am I in the market for one, so all I can give is my own opinion.

For an SS, I would not opt for the RS package. I like the looks of the standard headlights much better, the color of the roof drip moldings don't matter to me at all, as with the tailights. The midnight silver wheels are OK, but not my favorite. If someone was paying for the RS package on the SS, I couldn't see paying extra for polished rims, though. I'd keep the midnight silvers. Buying an SS without the RS, however, I'd upgrade to polished wheels, and not keep the painted sterling silver ones.

But, if I was to get an LT, I'd get the RS package. The car does look better with the spoiler and the RS features would be nice to dress up the car.

If your going to spend $36-37k on a 2SS, What is another $1200?

I mean really?

It's like leather seating as an option or personal preference on a 2SS. If a 2SS was $1200less for everything you get with leather interior (1SS) would you get it?

You can de-value the RS package sure, but to me $1200 is worth the expense if I am already paying $37k for a 2SS.

My reply will be so, why is your car so slow?...Lol..especially after my Whipplecharger goes on I prefer to save the vehicle weight and cash for go fast parts, also the reason I did not go for the 36lb sunroof, but like you said for the push and polishers they will say "Oh....you didn`t get the RS???" Me: "Nah just the Whipple...."

1200 went a long way to pay for my 1750.00 american Racing Headers, I like them WAAAAYYYY better than fancy headlights... I have the HID`s on my Vette and while great not worth 1200 bucks. I also have polished wheels, so i would lose out on the mid silver..

I believe you can buy just the halo kits from Oracle for something like 200 bucks and get that cool halo look without the HIDs... i had real HID on one of my cars and i hated the crooked light cut off to protect the opposing drivers, not exactly sure if the camaros are the same way, but it made driving down steep hills somewhat nerve wracking considering there was little to no illumination up higher.

I'm glad my Camaro is an RS. The little extra features just make the car that much cooler.
