dayum! yeah my tahoe has a 26 gal tank. so the new camaro is 7 gals short of that....which is quite a difference.

BUT you should put in premium if you're going with the SS...so I don't know about you guys but that's 4.60/ gal here...currently...let alone what the prices will be when it comes out.

let's say it goes to 4.80/gal for premium... so 4.8 x 19 = $91.20... eh even at $5 a gallon it'll still be under a $100. I can live with that. especially since i'm already living with that for our tahoe.

i dunno now though...after seeing that RS reveal of the yellow one... i might just go with the V6... that 26/27 mpg still sounds kind of nice. and it's already matching the top of the line gt stangs @ 300 hp. haven't checked the weight diff yet...so that could be a factor. I was really wanting to get that auto cylinder shut off feature...but I can't fathom getting this car in anything other than manual... so i'll have to toss that idea...and just know that the feature is pretty much there to allow the auto to get what a manual can as far as mpg.

You guy's prob get better MPG then me I can't seem to keep my foot out of her even after a year and a half. Oh well no disrespect just killing time untill we get the word on our Camaro. Hopefully it is. It should balance out that 10 minute "lack of" information session we were treated to yesterday.

Strangely enough, Oppenheiser also claims that the automatic-equipped SS Camaro, which is rated at 400 hp, runs from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds. "We optimized the shift points," he said.
well automatics are typically a little quicker off the line any ways. im still stuck on 6spd manual!

Those chats were pretty lacking also......the time was wasted with questions that we already have answers to and the rest of the replies were " not able to comment on that at this time" type answers.

I wouldn't want to cross a 24" deep flood overflow in my Camaro. The H3 wouldn't even notice.
