Replaced Throttle Body/Did not help??

Before I took my car in to my mechanic, it had been going on for 4-5 weeks off and on. Suddenly a reading would come up saying "Reduced Engine Power" & I had NO power with my foot to the floor. I would pull over and shut the car down and it would apparently reboot itself.

Yeah, the reduced power mode can happen due to a variety of reasons. The throttle body was a bit of a stab in the dark. How old is your battery, and did you get a check engine light?

Yes I had a check engine light come on since the car would lose power and it would die down to 20 mph until I shut car off. This car has two batttery because of all the led lights, etc & a tripper charger. Both are just a year old.

What is the CEL code you're getting? Could be the gas/accelerator pedal sensor which sends the signal to the TB that's gone bad. Very common.

Do you have a Vitesse Throttle Controller by chance ? If so, I would remove it and see how the car runs...Personal experience for me was that the VTC did not work well with my car

I appreciate your newest comments. Im writing them down to show my mechanic on Monday since I left the car at his shop. He should figure it out since he's also the crew chief on a local guy that races at the track here in South Boston, Va.

Yes if you have any throttle controller I'd unplug and reinstall... I personally had this happen to me... after a snug reconnect I haven't had a problem since

The problem was in the Turbo picking up crap in the waste-gate,etc including into the pipes. I'm learning more & more about my car. Amen
