27,000 miles and BLOWN MOTOR on my 2016 SS
So, yesterday, on my lunch break I was merging into traffic and my car made a loud noise and a bunch of smoke was going everywhere. Immediately I assumed I blew a tire and pulled over. On the shoulder I saw no tire in shreds, but oil was pooling from under my car. Real long story short, the mechanic at the dealership said my motor was definitely blown but not sure of the cause yet. Thoughts?

That sucks
It sounds like you threw a rod or something similar with the amount of oil you've got pooled down there. Something went through the engine block or the oil pan itself to cause that big of a leak. Did you overrev it by chance? My best guess is it was an issue with a failed rod bolt, but without more pictures, etc, it's really hard to say.

Ok, back on the issue at hand.... yes, I have had numerous issues brought to the dealership including going into limp mode 3 or 4 times. Every time the dealership said they could find nothing wrong

Ugh! That oil puddle is painful to look at. Best wishes for a good outcome.
I made a decision on this car to do no performance mods and your situation gives me no reason to re-think that, . I performance modded my gen 5 big time and learned the "pay to play" lesson with a major engine failure and no warranty to fall back on except my own piggy bank. I'm OK with that lesson learned as I was fully aware of what I was getting into. So be it but not this car. Once burnt - twice shy!
