Tires

Hey I just wanted to know if anyone new if it would be a problem if I ran my camaro on 20x8 on the front and 20x9 on the rear with 275 40 all around... I have a 1le and it's my daily driver (except on the winter) but I want buy a new set so that I can save money on tires in a way because the Goodyear that it comes with have a very short life span and I'm not looking to buy tires every year so I figured only put them on the hottest months of the year

275 40 r20 is too wide for the 20x8 fronts, 245 45 r20 should be used

These kids don't learn anything in school. They think the computer should do everything for them. Heck, they don't even teach spelling anymore.

I asked Discount tires If I could do 315s. They said it was possible but recommended 285s

Why would you down size your wheels ad tires? The 1LE comes with 285's on all four, just get a different brand if you don't like the Goodyears.

Dude get 20x9's for the fronts and then run 275/40/20 on all four corners. Boom

when you buy tires you should research the wear and traction ratings.sites such as tire rack will list a numerical rating for treadwear and a traction rating.the higher the number the better the treadwear.traction rating,A is better than B.i look for at least a 300 numerical rating because i dont want to buy tires every year.if you are tracking the car you will want summer only performance tires which have softer compound, but the price you will pay for carving corners is less tread life.

I have had nothing but awesome luck with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I did a full track day on a set and they looked the same way as when I started. Awesome traction in both rain and dry weather. For a sports car I will put nothing but those on my car. Not the cheapest but a damn good tire.

I recently decided to run 20X10's all around. Went with the 285/35's as I'm getting lowered an 1"

I think mobile devices are partly to blame. Trying to post to forums from a cell phone with fat thumbs and little patience, I too have been guilty of this.

By the time I get done typing a few paragraphs on my phone, I look at the mess I made and say F*** it, I give up! Then I send it.

Lol. I feel you. I do 90% of posting from my iPhone, but my OCD usually overrides my desire to just hit send.
