Detailing products

So had anybody used a chemical guys set up yet? I am debating on getting a kit. My car is black so all black camaro guys know the hassle I can do a pretty good job at shine and then polishing it up but the spider webbing never seems to really go away so I'm just trying to find out different products that could possibly do a better job I'm always looking for a Better look and shine. Let me know what you guys are using.

Mine is also black and I was using Zaino which I had been using on my Corvette for years and you get an excellent deep, long lasting shine. Last year I switched to all Mequiar's products. January each year, I clay bar then follow with Mequiar's Ultamate paste wax. I follow every wash with their Ultimate spray wax (instead of their detailer). Mine is daily driver and it stays looking great all year. I also travel the interstate a lot and pick up all kinds of bugs and they pretty much wipe right off when I wash it.

I started with Chemical guys, but have since switched over to Adams products. I definitely like the Adams stuff more.

The only thing from Chemical Guys that I still use are their microfibers and their matte detailer for my stripes.

I also second Adams. They are easy to apply, leave no residue and are reasonably priced. Customer service is also very good. They smell nice, too

Zaino with Chemical Guys micro fiber, I have no spider webbing or hairline scratches on my black Camaro. I would take a picture with a flashlight shining on it, but it's in the garage getting lots of go fast parts added.

A Porter Cable 7424xp buffer is a must if you have a black car. Check out the videos on the Adams website. They are very informative and explain how to get rid of swirls and how to keep them from coming back.

There was a deal floating around awhile back where you could pick up a 13 piece detail set from Chemical Guys that included the bucket, bunch of detailing spray for windows, wheels, wax, black plastic, etc and the foam gun for $50.00. It was too good of a deal to pass up on so I snagged it. That's my only experience with them and it's been decent. Definitely prefer Adam's more though.

I like Gary Dean products. Easy to use, fairly economical, and produce great results.

Meguiar's will give you the best bang for your buck.

There's not a single person here that can say they can tell the difference between a washed and detailed Meguiar's car versus a washed and detailed (insert high price name brand here).

Adams for the win. I used to think that the AutoZone amd Wal-Mart stuff wasn't any different than the more expensive stuff....Then I ordered some Adams products and nothing goes on my car but Adams now.
