Easiest way to run a Sub contol wire from trunk to front seat?

Quick question guys. I'm installing a Rockford Fosgate sub to my trunk this weekend and it has a wired controller that I can run to the front seat of the car. What's the easiest way to get this to the front seat? Path of lest resistance without wires showing. Thanks!

Open the trunk passthrough. Remove the trim piece in the edge. Run the control wire through there, under the rear seat, under the carpet to the center console. The console comes apart easily, and you can fish a coat hanger under the carpet from the rear cap area. Reassemble everything, and the wire is hidden.

We'll all hooked up, triple checked and sub won't power up. Calli no Crutchfield next. It's got to be the ground wire!

Where did you ground the amp to? Are you using audio signal sensing to turn on the sub?

Rockford FosgatePunch 300-10 won't power up

Yzark,

I grounded the sub/amp to the same bolt in the trunk that the negative side of the batter runs toward. It's the bolt toward the back of the car. I can't find any other bolts in the trunk other than the ones holding the battery in.
Yes, I am using the signal from the drivers side rear speaker to tell the amp to turn on "Audio" setting on amp. I originally had a T Tap on it, but through troubleshooting decided to just splice them together. Followed the - + diagram in the instructions.

I even tried running a 8G wire direct from the battery instead of the wire with the 60amp fuse, just in case there was an issue with the fuse and or fuse holder. It didn't make any difference. Also tried waking amp up using REM setting and jumping a wire from the middle plug terminal to the battery, per Crutchfield rep. Still nothing.

Any ideas? The new sub/amp comes Wed.

Is there a blown fuse on the amp? Maybe the amp is defective.

Just a test. Try grounding direct to battery then jumping the 12v to rem. if nothing, its a bad amp. Direct to batt is 0 ressistance

The amp was defective! Got the new one today and hooked up the unit to the wiring I did last weekend and it works like a charm. I had checked the fuses on the old amp and replaced them just to be sure. Thanks for all your feedback.

I figured it was Chinese made. The instructions say if I get a green light on the amp then it's working, red light is a fault signal. New amp light is Blue! LOL
