Glad to see this discussion finally caught, haha, im a big fan of the LS7 cause i much preffer N/A cars, if i wanted to make my car faster by using forced induction id by a ricer, not a muscle car, i dont care if its supercharging or turbo charging, thats my oppinion

Also, yeah the LSA might have had tons of hours testing with no failure, but the LS7 is hand-built with forged internals, thats gotta account for somethin, the LSA is built on a line just like the LS3, hell even the LS9 has forged internals and all, id just rather see the more well-crafted engine in it...GM may have said its on its way out, but just like the discussion about Z/28s themselves, announcements matter none in the relm of supply and demand =D

Just to clarify, I also like N/A engines over S/C, T/C engines.

But the reason why others such as myself don't like those engines, is for the fact that there is just more room to grow with an N/A engine.

I'm not completely in agreement that there is more room to grow, but I see your point. The big trade off is compression ratio. I could take the blower off an engine built for boost and take the CR to over 11:1 and be right were a purpose built NA motor is. I really don't see any advantage to one over the other... Just different ways to get to the same result. Wicked Fast power producing beasts.

I believe that the LS7 is"maxed out". Sure YOU can get more HP, but GM has to do it with an engine that is durable, reliable AND meets emission standards. Tough to get all 3 of those with HP too. The 427 is a true wonder in this regard.
