Just moved to Denver from Houston...How urgent is a new tune?

NA 416 build. Cam, headers, etc...

Car was tuned back in Houston on 93 octane, and in that nice dense sea-level atmosphere. Now I'm in Denver with much thinner air and only 91 max octane.

Need to know how urgent it is for a new tune, or if it would even be necessary? I'm assuming it's a must, but trying to hold off so I can save up a bit and have the shop here drop in a few rear-end goodies while they have the car. But if I need to do it asap, I'll go ahead and set it up. Not trying to blow up my baby here

Thanks!!

Not urgent. The 91 up here acts like 93 down low. Car will run better after a good tune though. Welcome to the Mile High atmosphere.

Welcome to the Boomtown. You may find our 91 octane gas a bit lacking for a big cube high compression NA engine. You might need octane boosters occasionally.

Awesome. Thanks fellas. Planning on getting it to RMCR here soon. Not sure of any other shops in the area, but they come pretty highly recommended here and on the Corvette forum. Hoping they'll be able to hook me up
