Ted,
I'm a long time reader but first time poster...and thanks for all your advise and insight. My question, I'm taking my 2013 L99 in to have an E Force S/C installed and have read about HP gains that are all over the place. My install will include the S/C with a 3.5 pulley, Dynatech long tube headers, high flow cats, Flowmaster cat back, 72# injectors, ZL1 fuelpump, CAI and supporting tunes for engine and trans. I've been told I'll be in the 450 RWHP range however I've read posts far above that. What would be your expectations? I'd really like to be at least 500 RWHP and if I'm short of that, what would be your next upgrade sugestion to get me there? Thanks again...

Welcome aboard, and thank you.

You will need a few more components

Our FPCM
Our Fuel feed line upgrade kit
Colder spark plugs NGK TR7IX
Catch can.
Our crankcase breather kit.

With these and your current mods there is no reason why you should not make 495-505 RWHP with 93 octane fuel on an Accurate Dyno.

Dyno numbers will vary up to 10% in either direction.

A quick trip to a local Quarter mile and a Scale, will tell you how much power you're really making when all said and done.

Even if you mess up the MPH in the 1/4 vs weight will give you more accurate numbers.

Feel free to give me a call with any questions.

Ted.

Thanks for posting these Q&A.. Your knowledge is reputable and outstanding. Has helped a lot of us make better decisions instead of acting on impulse lol.. So here's my question.

I'm new into the 5th Gen Camaros. Just recently added some bolt-ons such as LT Headers, HF Cats, CAI and just purchased a Maggie TVS 2300. I would like to know is there anything i'll need to purchase that would be beneficial? I'm assuming after tune maybe I will range in the 500-515 rwhp range. Suggestions?

You are welcome.

You will need a ZL-1 fuel pump and our special fuel pump control module to support your supercharger.

The stock pump can not support a supercharger. never mind one with headers and cai.

Fuel pressure loss is a very dangerous situation, and as these cars age the pumps get week so it is even more critical than when the cars were brand new.

You will also need the Maggie Tube kit to fit your CAI to the Maggie, we carry those as well.

You should add a ZR-1 3 bar map sensor, and Colder plugs, TR6IX

We stock Everything Camaro so feel free to give us a call.

Ted.

Hi Ted. Appreciate you being willing to field questions and offer up suggestions to help us along the way

I have an older style Maggie and though I love the instant power feel, I have reached its limitations at 800 RWHP. I am considering putting a F-1X Procharger on the Camaro with the thought of growing into it some day. When I bought the car the supercharger was already on it so I do not have the stock Camaro air intake manifold. I am suffering a bit under taking that beautiful polished Maggie off for more power but I know my options are limited. I hear the stock LS3 intake is actually pretty hard to beat for the price, however I would like to know if you have an opinion about what would be a good intake match for the F-1X powered to the 13-14 psi range for now with the thought of bumping up to 20+ psi once the engine is replaced?

maybe it is a bit of overkill but I have been looking at Hogan's Racing Manifolds. They offer a beautiful LS3 intake of course the price is $3000. Other than paying for the looks do you have any experience with these folks, or ever heard of them? Would I be spending money foolishly to pay that price for an intake?

Thanks for your opinion. I have included a pic.

You have enough fuel system for 650 RWHP add a JMS BAP and you will be good to 700 RWHP.

A more Turbo friendly cam will net you more power per lb of boost.

Ted.

Beautiful car, I did notice your belt adjuster could be tighter, push it as far to the pass side as it will go while keeping the JRE supertensioner toward the top of the range.

The Stock intake is the way to go for a centrifugal supercharger.

I read all the way through this thread . . . Interesting stuff!

I saw your post about slicks being much more forgiving on rear end parts. I suppose that is the opposite of what I have been thinking all along. I do have upgraded DSS driveshaft and axles and 9" conversion so I haven't had any problems to date with running radials. I have been hesitant to switch to a slick because I like the looks and stopping ability of the Brembos. I did hear that Forgestar is rolling out a 17x10 rear and 18x5 front drag wheels in about 3 weeks. I believe the 17x10 will be designed to fit over the Brembos.

Can you get a slick to fit the 17x10?

How much stability do you give up when switching from DR's to a slick?

I am currently running 20" forgelines on the front at the track. If all I did was switch out the fronts to the 18x5 skinny what sort of benefit do you think I would see?

You really think the new 2650 Maggie will be able to support 1000 RWHP? If that is my eventual goal do you think I am making a mistake to go with the F-1X?

Thanks

Yes a 17 will fit over the stock brakes, yes there are limited sizes of 17 inch slicks available.

You must pair slicks with bias ply front tires or the car will be very Ill handling and dangerous.

The new 2650 is badass for sure, I don't see why it won't make 1K with the right supporting mods.

Ted.

Is there a 2650 kit for the Camaro yet? I couldn't find any using Google. Thanks!
