I would save your money, keep your current vehicle until you graduate from basic and tech school, and see where you're first assignment is going to be. When I joined the Air Force back in '78 following my tech school, my first assignment was Misawa Japan ... not a place for American vehicles. I sold the vehicle had at the time and saved up for a new one until I completed my overseas tour; my next assignment was San Antonio, TX, not only had I saved enough to buy the car of my dreams, a used Corvette, I was able to buy a brand new DD.

Why, in my mind, throw money in a car that's going to sit, and "for an investment" that will never return anything in real investment value. If you want a car to drive, then wait till you have cash to buy and not put yourself deep in debt.
I have the money for the car. I'm just planning on upgrading. I don't know if I want to keep the money in a savings account or if I want to buy a new car. Not going into debt at all.

I see what you mean. A common theme I see on these forums is that a lot of the people are military veterans or their parents are vets. Was planning on keeping the camaro at the house with my parents as I know they will keep up on it and make sure it looks nice. My dad hates a dirty car so I know it will get loved on.

I could not be. I am one of those guys who will walk to work while saving for a V8 before I would buy a V6. I have made the mistake of buying V6 and hated them and lost a lot of money getting out of them. I will drive a 75 Camaro (I hate 75's) with a V8 long before I would spend a dime on a V6.
if youre driving a stock 1975 camaro with a v8 that 6 cylinder owner is gonna hurt your feelings.323 net horsepower is about double what the 350s put out that year.back in the day my supervisor at work owned a 76 vette and my 66 pontiac tempest (admittedly modded with headers and duals) would run away from him on a straight road.

Your Camaro must not be much fun to drive.

I purchased my 2010 2SS/RS with 68k miles for $19,995. Best car I've ever owned and I love it more and more each day. Go all in for the SS. You wont regret it.
