I used to paint all of my old covers on cars, but got over that fad pretty quickly.

The LFX UIM is just too ugly, so I leave that cover on. But on my 3800 I have it removed.

It's just a cover like most GM cars. No issues running without it.

Mine is painted to match the Inferno Orange and white strips of the car. Also matches the support bar, as that was also painted Orange and white. To each his own.

Most modern motors have noisy injectors and they're easy to hear over the lifters.
