Cold air intake - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I have a 2015 Camaro lt automatic
I currently have magna flow mufflers and x pipe and vmax ported throttle body
Looking for a cold air intake don't want to spend to much but would still like a quality one
any suggestions?

I just got my 2015 V6\A6. First upgrade was the K&N Typhoon CAI. Easy install. Gives her a mean growl in mid RPM and a nice loud holler in the high revs! I haven't touched the exhaust yet but expect an amazing overall idle thru full sweep afterwards!

You would love it on your setup. cost about $300 with chrome, a little less with ABS.

K&N is the best for the dollar it's what run on mine.

Sweet k&n was what I was looking at feel like 300$ a lil pricey tho but looking around everyone about same or more

Check auto anything on Amazon, they have hard to beat prices and good specials.

You can check with RDP as well. Best prices I've found on RotoFab and Cold Air Inductions if you're looking for top end at a discounted price. PM him, won't hurt to try and he's a stand-up guy

I want a good one still but I mean looking on Amazon there's some that price from 75-300 not to sure how much better the 300$ one is for the price range I mean it is just a filter

dont forget the 'NAME' - many people are mislead by the brand name alone...

I would hold out and get the Cold Air Inductions model. Very nice build quality and if you plan to keep this vehicle at least a few years, worth the extra money. Should be able to get one dropped on your doorstep for $400 or maybe a little less.

Just curious - what makes it worth the extra money??

From what I gather, it is more of a fully boxed-in system. K&N and others only box 2 sides, which could allow more engine heat to get drawn into filter reducing efficiency. Also the CAI looks to be insulated making it even cooler. I saw the design and with a little ingenuity, I could fully box and insulate Typhoon as well.

Both need intake snorkel added..

Keep an eye on the "for sale by owner" section here on C5. There are usually some CAI take offs for sale at a substantial savings. I picked up my Ingen very reasonably and it had hardly any miles on it.

What he said. And superior build quality and fitment. Also the tube is insulated supposedly making for less heatsoak.
