Results were we had a good time. I'd say about 30 cars showed up. Most wanting just pics it seemed. Didn't count but maybe 8-10 cars dyno'd and about 15 cars ran 1/4.

It was HOT out (checked NOAA and it says 84.5 degree high!). Humidity was around 60%. DA calc was ~2172 feet out there. Cars were running good just little to warm.

I was happy with my dyno pull (first car on the dyno) and I was happy with my times given the conditions. Will have pics coming.

Also, than you Hennessey for putting on this event at no charge for us. Wish more people had come but I'm sure there will be more next time!

Yeah, I don't believe the LS9 car ran down the 1/4 mile. I don't even think anybody broke out of the 12's from the runs I saw. There was a turbo A6 SS, couple of fastlane's cars and of course Hennessey's cars. It was nice getting to see soo many camaro's in one spot. Easily 25-30 cars showed up. I got to dyno my car and i put down 397.5 rwhp and 389 rwtq. It was about 95 degrees and 24% humidity inside the dyno area. I also got to get 3 runs in at the track. My first run, I left t/c on and hit 13.4@110. My 2nd run I turned it off and got a 13.1@110.97. My final run came 20 mins after getting 2 pulls on the dyno and ran a best of 13.02@111mph. I got vids of the dyno and the first two runs, sadly, I left my camera in the car for the last run so I didn't get any footage Gotta scan my slips but here is the last run:

60ft- 2.1357
330'- 5.6987
1/8- 8.5684
1/8 MPH- 85.99
1000ET- 10.9992
1/4ET- 13.02
1/4 mph- 111.36

Arrow Texas Camaro Nationals @ Lonestar Motorsports 9/26/09

Posting pics from yesterday. My family had a great time, and much thanks goes out to John Hennessey and his staff at Hennessey Performance for hosting the event. The turnout was a little lower than expected, which made it awesome for us that came out. I got to run my car 3x down the track, and my husband got to run it down 5x!! Also, had my Camaro dyno'd with little wait and the guys back there were great. Thanks goes out also to Fastlane for being a vendor sponsor and bringing their cars out to the track. Had a blast with my boys and can't wait till the next event !

UPDATE: GOT MY PICS UPLOADED! For anyone having problems uploading their pictures, I had to add them 1-2 at a time max. Kept getting error if I tried adding more than that at one time.

Loved your "you tube" videos ! They also worked out great for me, your racing my car in the track videos and it's my husband and boys walking around your car while it is getting dyno'd. And here I was all sad because I had forgotten my video camera

Thanks to HPE for Sponsoring the 2009 Texas Camaro Nationals

:flag1:John, Don, James, and the rest of the HPE Staff.

Many thanks for hosting the 2009 Texas Camaro Nationals at your Lonestar Motorsport Park, compliments of HPE. Many Camaro enthusiasts enjoyed the afternoon get together in spite of the hot Texas weather. The event started with a grand tour of the HPE facilities, including the Tuner Schoolroom area, ending with a view of the dyno-jet dynamometer and the new 4 wheel dynamometer. Then off to the patio near the showroon for the debut of the HPE 700 LS9 Camaro by Hennessey Performance Engineering !!!

I happened to be the first non HPE employee to get a chance to ride in this special vehicle. Well let me tell you that as we went down the 1/4 mile strip I stayed pinned to my seat. The power, torque, and speed through the gears was phenomenal. I will post a few pics at the end of the post for viewing. I hope my facts are correct, but I believe John mentioned that only 24 of these collector cars will be built and that 13 are already sold !!! So if anyone is interested, you better get your order in.

Then we drove a bunch of the 2010 Camaros down the the 1/4 mile strip and parked for a group car photo afterwhich the racing began. Some folks enjoyed free dynos and just visiting with the HPE staff and other Camaro enthusiasts. We ended the day with a visit to one of the groups favorite watering holes......Wild Wings off IH-10 West in Katy.

So on behalf of the H-Town Camaro Club, thanks again for an outstanding event and we look forward to an even bigger 2010 Texas Camaro Nationals in the Spring of next year.

Thanks for the pics. I had a good time out there and your red car was VERY nice looking in person. If I can get the girlfriend to give up the pics (host them) I'll be posting some photos as well.

Thanks for hosting this event! I had a blast getting my car dyno'ed and ran the 1/4 mile 5 times. It was well worth it. My first run was 14.5 due to a poor take-off by me, but by the 5th run I got down to 13.59. I'll come back out when it's a little cooler and the engine is more broken in, and see if I can't do better.
