Square or staggered tires, brand recommendations?

Hi guys
For a daily driver SS with stock FE4 suspension, that visits a few tracks yearly(road course), will follow up with some suspension upgrades as well, but nothing extreme going here

Do you recommend square or staggered tires setup?
keep the 20s or drop to 19s or may be even 18s?
Which brand and sizes do you recommend?

Thanks in advance

when you say tracks, are you talking road course or drag strip?

I do both and like the staggered and 20's. If I wanted to really go a little more hard core in either direction, I would probably go 19's and squared for the road course. 19's and staggered for the drags.

I dont track.....but found decent handling improvement by simply squaring up with stock 20x9 wheels and 275/40's.
I have been reading alot on suspension and found (what I believe) to be a reletively inexpensive combination.
Rear sway bar, better springs, fe4 or fe6 (1le) struts, front sway endlinks. My added extras are differential bushings and front radius rod bushing.
Others will say solid rear cradle bushing is best place to start.....but requires dropping the rear cradle....which, unless you have the right tools and do it yourself.....can get rather pricy in labor.

Good read http://www.jpssonline.com/#/the-book...n-2010-camaro/

Rear cradle bushing inserts are much easier to install. I am very pleased with the results. I bought mine from Pedders USA while they were still in business, but there are other vendors still available.

Nothing beats the staggered look but you cant rotate your tires either so there are trade offs. Really depends on what you want to do with the car. I am staggered with 20's 275 up front and 315's in the rear. Nitto invos up front and Drag radials in the rear. Sees the local drag strip about two to three times a year.

Go square setup if road racing.

Subframe bushings really weren't that bad at all as long as you had a propane torch, which are like $30.
