Cracked Spark Plug Ends Up with Supercharger Replacement

My ZL1 started running on 7 cylinders and I took it in for warranty repair. Service stabilitrac light came on so I thought I was in big trouble with this car. Ends up being a cracked spark plug, so it was replaced. While my car was there they as a matter of routine replaced my supercharger. I do know that these units wer under a 10 year, 120K mile extended warranty. I was not complaining about the supercharger ( no rattles here), so I was shocked that they did this. Have others had the same experience?
