lets be a bit grown up here, those of us who are adults and quit some of the childish antics that have come to mar this wonderful little community over the past few days.
Look - when the concept came out, we were told by GM to wait until you see the final product. Now people are commenting and you want everyone to just accept everything they see like a bunch of good commi citizens.

This is exactly where America is going right now - don't speak your mind, we won't tolerate that stuff. You cannot voice any opinion which is counter to the establishment. You either like 100% of what we are offering you or shut up - that's communism at it's best!

I want to hear what everyone says especially those who have a different opinion than me because it may open my mind up to something I had not considered. If you don't like the direction a post is going, don't read it.

The car is what it is, if you don't like it fix it yourself. I don't understand what makes you think anyone from GM is going to read your post and think' "Gee, that's an idea we haven't thought of!" Constructive criticism is one thing, saying if they don't fix it you're going elsewhere is...well...odd.

If a guy says he is going somewhere else, let him. It's just his opinion he is voicing. Most of the negative comments I read come from guys who will buy the car anyways. They just have an opinion - they don't expect GM to make changes based on what they say. Just because someone says something negative about the car, does not mean he hates the car. I love my 2 4th gen Camaros but I hate the power window motors....

However, money is also a part of this situation. Unless you are a millionaire and want GM to build you a custom car then you will never be happy with the car...and if you pull all the "shit" out of every situation like a few I have seen on this forum - you don't deserve to be happy. It is laughable at best to bring yet another crock of "boohoo, communists" BS into a thread that isn't even political this time. There is no doubt everyone has their gripes, but I am not some "lazy parent" that wants to hear the crap without voicing my opinion as well. After all, isn't that what your post was all about?

If it was Communism, your post would be deleted before it was ever read by the public. It's free market...If you don't like my product, don't buy it. The only reason I've seen this site ban individuals is for profanity...so far

first it was the headlights, the tailights, the mule interior, blah blah blah...

now it's the weight, the option packages, the no-z28... blah blah blah...

can we all shut up for a minute and remember what is really going on here? take a look at the big 3's sales figures (autoblog.com); and think for a minute what the camaro means at this point.

a, it's a huge leg for GM to stand on
b, it's a huge risk for GM to be taking

we should all take a moment to respect and realize the effort that the people associated with this car's development are doing to make sure this brand survives the next 40 years.

they're doing everything they can, so hush you little fingers in your crying about the latest thing to cry about.

keep the god damn faith.

and lets get some solid facts... i'll start for one:

weight? the camaro a pig?

hardly.

each part of the car from powertrain to interior to cage weighs as much as it needs to in order to do it's job. there's no extra weight put in there that isn't absolutely necessary. you worried about the acceleration of the camaro?

dont be (some below was posted in another thread):

Mustang 210hp 3,356lbs 15.9 lb/hp
Camaro V6 300hp 3,741lbs 12.5 lb/hp
Mustang GT 300hp 3,540lbs 11.5 lb/hp
Challenger SRT8 425hp 4,140lbs 9.74 lb/hp
Camaro SS 422hp 3,860lbs 9.14 lb/hp
Mustang GT500 500hp 3,920lbs 7.84 lb/hp ($42k)
Mustang GT500KR 540hp 3,950lbs 7.31 lb/hp ($50k+)

remember where the v6 and the v8 are meant to compete... the v6 kicks the tail out of the baseline mustang, and the v8 makes the GT look like a joke... heck, it's even on par with the challanger and sure as heck wont be as expensive.

lets be a bit grown up here, those of us who are adults and quit some of the childish antics that have come to mar this wonderful little community over the past few days.
Congrats, you've won the award for the longest post complaining about people who are complaining. Great work!

I agree 100% with your post. This website is well managed. Those who know me, know what Camaro website I think is truly commi .

My communist comment concerns the intolerance which some people have to other peoples opinions which differ from their own.

I'm with the OP.

It's one thing for people to disagree with GM or whoever about whatever...but it's a whole new level of ignorance to log into the forum, post "omGZ I cudnt bie dee cemer0 cuz i duznt lyk da culerz!11!one!" or click on a 20 page thread, read the first 6 posts, then hit "reply" and spout feces all over the place on stuff that got covered because he was too lazy to read.

You're right, it's a public forum, but if you don't give the respect of READING what has been posted on the subject that you want to shoot crap out of your mouth about, then your opinion means squat to me.

One final thought and I'll leave it alone...Build a total custom one-off car of your dreams, make it exactly like you want it. I promise you, when you're done, you'll think of fifty things you would have done different if you were to do it again.

Because it shows you are indecisive and that YOU really don't even know what you want.
