I felt the same way. The top just doesn't fit the contour right and if you look down on them, you can see the white edge of the vinyl. I have a set of stainless steel on the way from emblempros I'm gonna try. Cost is not much different.

I'm pleased all of you like the idea.
Stripeman came up with the outline style origially, that's why I bought from him. It's his idea for the outline design, so I paid him. You can get the ORIGINAL outline design gill vinyl here: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/jkhendo/ Enjoy.

Add Stripeman's outlines to the fades. You'll be pleased.

The ones that fade look 3D like with a depth that looks real.

Here are mine... After the accient, the dealer body shop had his stripe guy do them up as close as he could to the originals... So I'm not sure if they are custom or ordered, but they are different (and much better) than the original faded ones I ordered...

Wow.....looks real good.

So what was done on yours? Did he paint them on or are they vinyl? Any info on what was used or done?

They are vinyl. Up close, you can see how it's dark and then it fades out to like almost a dot-matrix type look. The fade only goes about halfway across the decal, instead of all the way like the other faded ones (I had the same ones as the SIM on page 1). So up close you can really tell, but take 2 steps back and they look incredible (as you can see )

So you just have Stripeman's fades on there?

From what I can see it doesn't look as though you have Stripeman's outline on there. Looks like that would be a good option though.

They definately look good.

No... I had those faded ones (autotrimdesign.com i think? ) on there before my accident... Then when the body shop was doing the repairs (entire side of the car), their stripe guy tried to make new ones to match it as close as he could (the faded look). The new ones ended up looking better than the ones I had originally (again, which were the same as the SIM on page 1).

Make sense yet?

I like these better because they are consistent. The old faded ones that I had on there weren't consistent... the center was much lighter than the top and bottom (look at the SIM on page 1). It drove me nuts... These new ones are perfect!
