Installing the vitesse.....pain in the !!!

My vitesse throttle controller came in for my 2012 RS. First step of install is removing the harness that plugs into the gas pedal. I have the gray locking clip back out all the way, but I can't get the harness to unplug. Any suggestions? I'm killing myself trying to remove it .

Go look at the clip on your MAF sensor, it is the same clip, may help.

hmmmmm, not sure then other than working in different directions to try and break free, they are expensive to replace so I would be patient.

It's a sign you shouldn't install it

Sounds like you either didn't get a good connection when you plugged it in or you got a bad controller... Should have come on instantly when you turned your key on, so I would be checking your connections, maybe you broke one of the connection pins???

Yea,.....I called vitesse and they said the same thing,....the controller seems to be bad. He said they're going to send me a new one asap. I can tell it was communicating with the car due to the various things popping up in the instrument clusters message center. Very frustrating.

Good luck when you finally do get it, at least now you know how to get it in... It is the best thing you can do for the shitty throttle response in the V6 though so you should like it...

Total PITA to install. If I could find someone to remove it, I'd sell it.

it's not too bad to install, its just the weird angle and position you have to lay down in to access it underneath the dash

100% agree with you. No way I can get back down there to uninstall.
