For the life of me, I cannot figure out where you are at , I mean from your picture I have no idea where that plug is located or how you got there. I stared at my rear view mirror and overhead console for about an hour before realizing, I just dont get it. How did you get there? where are you? Please if anyone has a more detailed instruction on how to tap from the passenger air bag, please post. I am about to go insane here.

This is what I finally did to mount my V1 on a 2015 2LT W RS Package

Used the blendmount for mounting the radar detector and the standard 12 inch mirror tap.

Fully installed in a new 2013 Camaro 2LT RS with Sunroof
----------
1) take the dome light case off
2) pop the dome light housing off
3) unscrew the two screws holding the ceiling console on
4) gently pull the ceiling console away from the ceiling (there are wires directly connected to this console and so you don't want to damage them by pulling too hard)
5) locate the back side of the light plug for the air bag lights on the console
6) tap the 12v switched wire and the ground (should be pink/red and black/blue)
7) gently feed the wires to the desired locations
8) put all the pieces back on

After reading through all this I guess I'm going this route with my 2012, now I really could use a little info on taking the ceiling console off. I tried prying a much as Im willing to without breaking it?

Anyone have detailed instructions on the easiest way to hardwire a V1 in a 2015 frameless mirror?

I think Im going to pass on the blend mount for now and mount using suction cups next to mirror closer to the headliner.

What wires/parts do I need to make this work?

Seems like some things have changed wiring wise with our mirrors since this post was created. Hoping someone with a 2014 or 2015 who has done this will respond. Want to get it right the first time.

Thanks.

Not specifically for the V1 but it's the same process:
