I know somebody is always going to be faster than me, but I'm no hardcore racer anymore. I go to the track about once a month but I haven't raced in over a year, and that was racing my motorcycle lol. I understand where the OP is coming from. For some people the 5th gen is just fine the way it rolled off the showroom floor. Then there are some who can't leave good enough alone. To each his own. As long as you are happy with your investment.
What'd you build it with? Stuff you stole or bought?

You're intentionally missing the point.

Choosing your own parts and installing them makes that part of the car 'your' build rather than Chevy's. Chevy doesn't make (or steal) every part they put into their cars either.

Item one. My car is "plenty fast", rather it be by a little or a lot, uttered by those rationalizing it with financial inadequacy or others financial status is butt hurt. Plain and simple.

Item two. If it wasn't such a big deal you'd be driving a V6 and not bitching about it simply because that's the least amount of money you could spend on the least amount of horsepower and that would make your argument somewhat valid. Driving an SS and complaining about others spending money on hp and your sideways slap of it being "mind boggling" makes you look like an idiot.

Item three. Starting a thread to get others to join in your "other people are stupid for spending money on horsepower" crusade just to make yourself feel better is rather pathetic.

Item four. I, for one, don't need your god dam*ned blessing to spend my money as I please.
My case in point.

At least those that spend the money on it have something to show for it. Too many out there spend money on drugs, etc... and have nothing to show for it..

I disagree. They have plenty to show for it, most get 5 to 10.

oddly enough,im driving a v6 and im fine with it.still enough power to leave a traffic light respectably, got all the toys(RS),even some i didnt really "need".im good with my car and will probably keep it a long time.on the other hand i see nothing wrong with others doing whatever they want with their cars, and i enjoy seeing what people have done to their cars, having modded two classic cars myself.i like my camaro quiet because after 25 years of headers and glasspacks and loud music my ears ring constantly.peace out...i will enjoy my car my way and you can enjoy yours your way.
