I put a Z-28 intake on a stock L99 and it ran fine. I replaced a Volant CAI and PowerCore filter. The car ran 7/10ths quicker and 4mph faster in the 1/4 with the Z-28 intake being the only change made. I've got the time slips to prove it.

Since then, I added LT headers and had it tuned. Runs even better now.

I said I would find the information shared with us about a head to head comparison of the Roto-fab CAI and the stock Z28 CAI. Here it is. This is the actual email we received from Lethal Racing about their test. The Roto-fab CAI showed an improvement of about 4 HP and 6 ft/lb tq. Keep in mind this is a comparison of the Roto-fab and the Z28 intake, NOT the standard Camaro intake. Thanks Lethal Racing for sharing our information with us!

Hi,

Here is the graph showing the rotofab intake on a 2015 Z28 VS the stock Z28 intake(which is pretty good from the factory). The blue line is the Rotofab, Purple is the Stock intake.

Mods on the Z28 are:
Ported heads
ported intake and tb
Lethal Racing Phantom cam
Yella Terra rocker arms
Coated 1 7/8"headers without cats
LR dyno tune
93 octane

thanks,
nick

I've been very happy with my ADM Race intake with air scoop.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I am very pleased with my Z/28 intake, really like the OEM look and quality of it. The horsepower and torque increase over stock is very noticeable.

It was just what i had been waiting for.

once I saw it in my engine bay I was sooo happy, and the big filter is much bigger in person the fit and finish of the z/28 makes others seem cartoonish to me. to each there own I guess. just seems funny that certain manufacturers are going the extra mile to try to prove how much more superior there product is. GM has done none of that that I know, the people that buy it know what it is about.

I find it interesting that Hennessey uses the STOCK Z/28 intake for their HPE650 upgrade - 667 Horsepower - for the Z/28.

I'm totally satisfied with my CAI on a V6 LFX. Sounds better and I can feel a difference in my buttometer. I can only imagine the affect it has on a V8. Plus, customer service through RDP and CAI was top shelf. RotoFab was my 2nd choice but I just liked the looks of the CAI a little better.
