Cold Air Inductions!

It's no secret that CAI inc is one of the best intakes we can buy for our car. I myself, along with tons of other members, sport their sweet product. But outside of some third party testing threads such as Janetty's, there isn't a whole lot of stock vs intake only resources to go off of that isn't biased. Simply because no one feels the need to dyno after only an intake.

The video below is of a pretty popular YouTuber, some of you may know who he is. He recently purchased a new Silverado and decided to take it to the dyno for craps and gigs to see what it made. He did 3 runs on stock everything, then changed out the stock intake and put in the CAI intake on, then did more runs. The numbers were as follows:

Stock: 297HP/331TQ
CAI intake: 312HP/340TQ

Those number in themselves are pretty impressive considering it's untuned just a straight swap. But then they let the truck sit for 17 minutes and tried again. This time they produced 321HP/351TQ! Untuned! That's a gain of almost 25 horsepower untuned. Only attesting that CAI truly makes a phenomenal product.

If you would like to see the video yourself, I have it linked below. The truck dyno starts at 8:10 for those of you only interested in that.

Thanks for sharing this video and also for your kind words about our product. It is great to be recognized for manufacturing such a high quality, well performing system that looks and sounds awesome!!

I can't speak to a dynometer but buttometer says there's a definite difference...and that's on a V6 LFX. Actually made a difference in the sound of the exhaust and smoothed out my idle. Works for me!

Yeah, I love my CAI intake, not just for looks, but also the sound. I took a lot of criticism, from the trolls on Imgur when I posted pics of my install. Everything from, "That's not a cold air intake" (to which I responded that "CAI is the make"), to, "you're actually making less power", to, "You're damaging your engine", and on and on. Nice to see definitive proof that CAI's rig makes additional power.

Really the reason why I went with CAI, inc over Roto Fab for non tuned intakes
