Has anyone used the diverters with axle-backs?
The first thing I had to do was remove the factory mufflers for no other reason than just looks alone. The back end looks so much better with the mini looking gas tanks removed. I went with Loudmouth II's and got the sound and looks I wanted but I really like the diverter idea but would like to know from anyone what kind of change I can expect. Theres been alot of talk on the diverters and warranty. The diverters looks like a quality product but I am hesitant to splice into the power seat. I think it would depend on the dealer, but if theres a problem with the power seat, GM may frown on a splice regarding a warranty issue. It would be great for it to be plug and play but I realize that's not an easy task. If I go the diverter route, I'd most likely come off the fuse box for ignition power. A little extra time and wire but I think it would be worth it in the end. This is just my 2 cents! I'm still on the fence on warranty vs. tune. I would love to have mine dyno tuned if nothing more than disable the AFM which to me does get annoying at times when the exhaust has been modifed. I'll most likely throw caution to the wind and get a tune so my question is if I go with the diverters, would tuning be different with the diverters open as opposed to closed? |

So these are truly an awesome option for me! Only two things stand between me and them.
1. I am not really good with the 90 bend that routes back to the factory pipes when the diverters are closed. My sense is they will cause more restriction than the factory design. Typically, you want to see sweeping bends. So, what impact will this have long term? 2. So when I get a tune, I will do it with diverters open. Now, what impact will this tune have when running closed back to factory exhaust? Keeping in mind, I probably will run a 50/50 split half the time fully open and half time fully closed, most likely never in between. |

Fitment question
Im planning on getting the Kooks 1 7/8" LTs with cats and keeping the stock system after the cat-back. The only other thing I would like to add is the noweeds diverter. How is the fitment going this route?

Just got the noweeds and kooks lts installed. There is no fitment issue.
Anyways here is a small clip of just the sytem in motion. Well try to get exhaust sound up soon. This is a very well engineered product. They thought of everything.

We had our 1st HRCC club meet this weekend. Noweeds sound friggen great. Grinder 19 opened his 100% in HRBT (tunnel). I think he made everyone in the tunnel wet themselves!! I'm looking to order as soon as I put the money in my mod account.....
