Battery blew up
My battery just blew up in the trunk, anyone else have this issue? It's the original so I've been expecting it to die, but not blow up.

I've never heard of this happening, was it leaking at all?

Nope, I keep it pretty clean, even the trunk. I was in there last week looking at it and not a thing showing this was going to happen. I tried starting the car with remote and heard a boom in the trunk. Smelled like fireworks so I looked immediately and battery acid was all over the spare tire well. Thought it might have been the tire inflator, but was the battery.

Had that happen to a new Monte Carlo once while we were at church. everyone heard a loud BOOM, went out, and behold - was our car.... Dealership replaced the battery under warranty, even though it had just lapsed.

Yeah I'm this isn't the first case of this, but sucked cleaning up. Battery acid isn't fun to deal with and I hope it's all out.
