Gave up on it when I ran it into a sandbar, flipped out the front, landed on my feet with a beer in one hand, a cigarette in the other, and a shit eating grin. Then the police caught up.

Filling a Focus with gas may be cheap but the last time I checked the focus depreciates rapidly. So you'll be paying a hidden cost vs upfront at the gas pump.

What's wrong with owning both. I don't daily drive my Camaro for obvious reasons such as gas mileage and potential damage. Its a given that many Camaro owners will have daily drivers to get around in. If funding is an issue then wait and save up for a new or used Fusion.
Good luck.

And with regards to buying a used beater, I'm kind of a snob with taking care of my stuff and keeping it clean and wouldn't be happy with someone else's dirty not not well kept vehicle - it even put sheets on my seats when I go to work to keep the seats clean and the sheets are easy to throw in the laundry once a week. I doubt anyone will use a vehicle as much as I do while keeping it as minty over the years. My 2004 Ford Lightning's interior still looks like it came off the lot. Not to mention that I don't trust other people the mechanically maintain a vehicle to my standards. So a used beater it 100% out of the question. Anyway, I'm very happy with the Civic so far except the overly aggressive side bolsters in the SI model that I bought. Love the styling, tech, fuel economy, and also that I can adjust the seat for plenty of leg room and still fit on the back seat without readjusting the seat unlike the Camaro. I'm going to see if I can swap the front seats with a standard Civic. It's a shame because I absolutely love everything else about the car. |

Gotcha. If the Camaro isn't your must have car, then its ok to trade it. My sig cars get almost zero usage, but because they are my must haves, I won't consider a trade or sell. I can enjoy each one at any time, and all of them (including the Malibu for now, since I bought it a few months ago) have relatively low miles (the truck has ridiculously low miles). Its just an added bonus; But yes, multiple cars can have its disadvantages too.

you can probably find someone with a standard civic that would be real happy to swap seats with you.my son is still driving a 1993 civic del sol with 300,000 miles on it.other than belts, water pumps and a trans rebuild its been pretty much trouble free, engine has never been apart.

I just called the dealer and spoke to a manager and he's looking into getting me a leather interior installed with different side bolsters. He said he'll look into it and give me a call back. But he said that the factory wouldn't allow a seat swap with another brand new car on the lot. Leather would be cool since I like leather. If I where to swap with another owner it would have to be someone who's buying a brand new car and I would have to have the seats brand new, heh. I should call the parts and see what brand new factory seats cost.
