It ended up raining on my way home, and paid attention to the wiper. It did seem to skip a little but it still cleaned that spot.

I do wax the whole plate & trim tag slightly, then peel off backing, upside down on counter, get a smaller piece of scotch tape for the middle of the sticker & attach to the sticky side, align perfectly on plate & press down edges. Never had a problem with loose stickers.

Haha, I saw a red late 90s Gen 4, of course in red, a convertible too. We were driving side by side, his had a strange looking tan top. Looked over to give a thumbs up. He was lazer focused on the road. Oh well.

The instructions that come with our tag stickers say to clean off all dirt and wax before applying.
